Music legend Neil Diamond updated his classic Sweet Caroline to remind us to wash our hands. “I know we’re going through a rough time right now but I love ya,” Diamond said in a video tweeted from his account.
Diamond, who retired in 2018 after a Parkinson’s disease diagnose said:
“I think maybe if we sing together, well, we’ll just feel a little bit better.”

The 79-year-old crooner’s updated coronavirus inspired lyrics include:
Hands washing hands
reaching out
Don’t touch me,
I won’t touch you….
A man, a dog, a guitar and an acoustic version of one of the greatest singalong songs of all times. I don’t know about you, but for the two minutes or so it took to watch this, I felt a whole lot less (self) isolated.
Meanwhile, CNN compiled a list of tunes from every decade to help you know how long to wash your hands.
Spoiler alert: Dancing Queen is the ’70s pick.
